As my number of followers slowly creeps up, I thought it might be fun to practice my writing skills with a good old-fashioned game of Taboo (the copyright on this game is nearly as old as I am)! For those of you unfamiliar with the game, they give you a word, and then you are supposed to describe that word without using the other words listed on the card. I have randomly selected a few cards, and am going to attempt to describe these words below. If you think you know the answer, let us know in the comments, and I’ll pop in and let you know once someone has guessed correctly!
1. A tool used in the kitchen to cut vegetables.
A kitchen tool often stored in a block displayed on the counter.
Some name brand manufacturers are Wusthof, Myabi, and Faberware.
2. An object used to play a melody.
Resembles a similar melodic object generally used by the lead singer or bass player.
Grace Vanderwaal plays one.
3. Sometimes found along the side of a walking path for resting.
Sports team members who are not active in a current game, are sometimes referred to as on the _______.
Often found near bus-stops as a place for those who do not want to stand to wait.
4. It is often the driving force behind wanting to know more about something.
Considered to be the root cause of a high number of feline fatalities (but not really).
The name of a no-longer operational Mars rover.
5. A large wooden structure sometimes painted red and used for storing tractors.
This wooden structure is also sometimes used to house livestock and grain.
A current trend is to “paint” a quilt on the roof of this structure using different colored shingles.
hmmm… spoilers in the comments section! 😀
It’s a good thing I decided to answer them before scrolling down the comments.
