Writing Prompt Wednesday

First Grade Writing Prompts – Day 1

In honor of school starting this week (at least here in Michigan), I thought it would be fun to do some first grade writing prompts. I did a Google image search to find these, so I will link back to the best of my abilities.

First up: How to eat an Oreo cookie.

There are multiple ways to eat an Oreo cookie, but today I am only going to talk about what I believe to be the best way to eat an Oreo.

Step 1: Buy Oreos, preferably the Double Stuffed Variety. Also buy milk if you don’t already have some at home–I prefer Fairlife Fat Free, but you can use whatever your favorite is.

Step 2: Take your newly purchased Oreos and milk home.

Step 3: Assemble your tools. You will need a cup half-filled with your newly milk, as well as the Oreo cookies.

Step 4: Open Package. Some of the newer packages have a resealable sticker thing on top. This is good in theory, but it makes it difficult to access all of the cookies, and do we really want to pretend we aren’t going to eat the whole package in one sitting?

Step 5: Choose a cookie. I like to start in the center.

Step 6: Carefully stick half of the cookie in the milk for about 2 seconds.

Step 7: Eat the saturated part of the cookie in a single bite.

Step 8: Carefully stick as much of the rest of the cookie as you can back into the milk without getting your fingers wet–also for about two seconds.

Step 9: Eat the rest of the cookie.

Step 10: Repeat steps 5-9 until you are full or you run out of cookies–whichever comes first.
